The hinge

Metal where it moves.

The band is wrapped in woven fabric and meets each earcup at a polished metal hinge. That plate carries the ZIZO mark, and it is the part that takes the adjustment every time the pair goes on.

The controls

Under your thumb.

The buttons sit in the rim of the earcup, where a thumb lands without looking for them. The phone can stay in a pocket.

The cushion

Around the ear, not on it.

The cushion is a full ring that closes around the ear instead of pressing on it. That is the difference between a pair you take off after an hour and one you forget you are wearing.

Design

Fabric, metal, one seam.

The band is wrapped in woven fabric and meets the earcups at a polished metal hinge. Each shell is a single smooth piece with one bright seam around its edge, so the pair reads as one object rather than a stack of parts.
